Have you ever feel stuck in a relationship that you no longer want to be in for some reasons but you just don’t know what to do or how to fix it?
Sayeda offers a general solutions to mend a broken relationships and its not restricted to marriage, but the relationship we have with ourselves, our kids, siblings, and the people around us. There’s exercises and questionnaires we can do and answer in this book that designed to increase our awareness of how we experience our relationships and to explore what the deeper issue in the relationship is. To recap after reading each chapter, the Author provides a summary section at the end.
Throughout reading this, I get to know myself better, not just to the point to love it more, but to understand why sometimes the only thing I did when facing a great challenge when it comes to fixing relationships, I always blame myself instead of finding the root cause of the problems and giving a fair solution to both parties. I guess I have not loved myself enough to be loved and appreciated by other people. So, having these knowledge right now is a great starting point to more healthy relationships with myself and loved ones.
My most favourite chapter is Parenting : Creating Love and Joy in the Relationship With Our Kids. There’s a great sense of comfort in reading this chapter, knowing that I have been doing the right thing. (I’ll share the photos of the pages in my IG). “When a parent understands what the child’s emotional needs are, and fulfils those emotional needs on a regular basis, then the child’s behaviour will improve and training him or her for life will become a lot more enjoyable for both”.
Read this, to more fulfilling relationships, InshaaAllah 🥰
